Rhubarb Soap

Our Red Hot Rhubarb Soap has  wonderfully fragrant aroma reminiscent of summer days spent in the garden.

We make this soap  by infusing Himalayan Rhubarb Root powder into the oils for several weeks to capture the benefits of this wonderful ingredient.

Himalayan rhubarb root is a root that has been used for centuries in traditional medicine, and is believed to have a number of health benefits. It is native to the Himalayan region and has a long history of use in Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine.

One of the main benefits of Himalayan rhubarb root is its astringent properties. Astringents help to tighten and tone the skin, and Himalayan rhubarb root is known to be particularly effective in this regard. When used in soap, Himalayan rhubarb root can help to firm and tighten the skin, giving it a more youthful appearance.

Himalayan rhubarb root is also rich in antioxidants, which are substances that help to protect the body from the damaging effects of free radicals. Free radicals are unstable molecules that can damage cells and contribute to the development of a number of health problems, including skin aging. By neutralizing free radicals, antioxidants can help to prevent cell damage and may even help to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

In addition to its astringent and antioxidant properties, Himalayan rhubarb root is also believed to have anti-inflammatory properties. Inflammation is a normal response of the body to injury or infection, but chronic inflammation can contribute to a number of health problems, including skin irritation and redness. Himalayan rhubarb root may help to reduce inflammation and soothe irritated skin, making it particularly useful for those with sensitive skin.

Himalayan rhubarb root is also believed to have antibacterial properties, which can be helpful in preventing the growth of bacteria on the skin. This can be especially beneficial for those with acne-prone skin, as it may help to prevent breakouts.

In summary, Himalayan rhubarb root is a versatile and beneficial ingredient in soap, providing a number of skin care benefits including tightening, toning, and protecting the skin. Its anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties make it especially useful for those with sensitive or acne-prone skin. Its astringent and antioxidant properties may also help to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, giving the skin a more youthful appearance.
